It is advised to save often and in multiple save slots. Saves are located in:
C:\Users\"name"\AppData\Roaming\MANTIS\
Previously saves were stored in:
C:\Users\"name"\AppData\Local\MANTIS\User Data\Default folder
So in order to use your old saves you need to swap them to the new location!

Femdom City is a fictional place run by an autocratic government, where women are superior to the inferior males. Males in this place look a bit smaller than usual and have less muscles. Males have to help restore the partly destroyed city, that’s why they usually have to take on jobs that serve women in order to be able to pay the higher taxes for males.
Femdom City is divided in Downtown, Uptown and the Middletown District. There are also some rural locations like the Farm outside of the city. Downtown is a more rough and grungy place. The women and mistresses of uptown usually look down on that southern part of Femdom City, but lately more and more tourists come to Downtown to experience femdom in a darkest, rawest form. The girls of downtown on the other hand hate people from Uptown for their arrogance and believe that almost all women from the nothern part of Femdom City are rather selfish.
Different fractions are now trying to gain more influence over the City. A street gang in downtown has teamed up with the Futanari, a group of powerful tall females that have both male and female genitals. Together they run large parts of Downtown. The police keeps the focus on Uptown and the Middletown District, where big companies like FemmeCorp and The Rubberfactory run the show and official buildings like the administration and the school are located.
There are many other fractions that don’t fall in any category. The Church of Kink for example, a group of dominant nuns that are living under their own commandments. Or mayor Beatrix de Jaager and her government that has recently adopted some very strange laws to ensure female supremacy in Femdom City. She seems to have big plans. Maybe you can uncover the secrets and find out more about her and the mysterious organisation called MANTIS.
And the males?
A large part of the males protested against the government, back in the days when Femdom City was still called Femdale City and these protests went wild. Parts of the city were destroyed because of these riots and the old mayor had to resign. Beatrix de Jaager took over and passed new laws in order to get control over the situation, most of them allowed the military and the police to take any action necessary to get men under control.
Most males can’t even remember how they got to Femdom City, if they were a part of the riots or not. It seems like most of them can’t remember anything of the riots or their life before.
Males aren’t allowed to cross the border of Femdom City unless they have a valid ID Card, official travel papers and can prove to own a reasonable amount of money. And most men don’t even know how to get one of these things.
The male tax in Femdom City is abnormally high and usually keeps them from saving up some money. Due to a new law, men now have to pay the tax every 10 days instead of every month! That means that males have to work almost every minute that they are not sleeping. It’s tough, but the alternative is being sent to prison or the asylum, or being sold in order to be able to pay the debts.
You are one of these males, trying to survive in this city that is so hostile towards you that every day is a challenge. How did it get this far? Was Femdom City always the place that it is now? Will you manage to escape the city or will you find a mistress that will treat you right? Will you uncover the secret places of Femdom City and maybe manage to make a rather decent living as a submissive male / slave?

I love this game, especially the fetish facesitting, ass worship and urination. The toilet service scenes are sensational. In one scene, when Tina Torture gives the slave her urine to drink on the toilet, she says something very special: The administration of M. A.N.T.I.S. is planning to set up a public ladies' toilet in the city. That would be a great new scene where the slave wakes up and a lady tells him that he can work there. Similar to the shower as a place of work.

Hi Darktoz, I really love your games but cant get this new .8.1 update to work properly as it maxes out my CPU and gives very slow videos. Things I've tried is installing and uninstalling latest java multiple times including runing as administrator with all firewall stuff off. Also did a fresh Windows 10 install in case I mucked with something I shouldn't have. I'm suspicious Java isnt loading properly because I cant see anything in my running processes detail section besides javas auto update jusched.exe when the game starts. My laptop is old but runs all other VN games using under 10% cpu including the last version of this game. Any help would be appriciated even what Java file names I should see running in my task manager details section to confirm if its working properly or if my cpu just isnt good enough for this application anymore.
Sorry for the long question but I bought a new computer and it fixed everything so my hardware just wasnt good enough anymore:)

This Visual Novel uses repeating pictures as animations so it is pretty heavy on the memory compared to others

My question is, I was no longer sent to administration to pay taxes beginning on day 90—when I wake up on that day I’m just in downtown and administration is not available on the map. Should I be doing something different? Thanks!

This game is the longest and will give many enjoyable hours. It is amazing and carefully crafted, like most of Your creations, and you come back to it again and again! Babes like Major Foxy are simply breathtaking, you really visit them every day in real time ;)

If I choose to disobey them I get that cool reaction and a message that ''cops will remember it''.
Does this affect something in the current version?
And if so, does this mean the cops will be rougher or I will have no main action with them like the futanari that I dumped?
I like to piss them off and face the consequences!

at the current version there is no after effect for the cops. the futanari will remember and offer you a way out later in the game if you choose them. i think in some rare occasions there are handcuffs already like the nastia scene, but overall handcuffs are difficult to pose on hands, especially if you want to make them dynamic and not static in animations

sorry to hear that it doesn't work for you. be sure to properly unzip the game with an up to date archiver and try to run the exe in admin mode if this error keeps occuring
From version 0.7.2 to 0.8.1 and moving saves to new location does not show any saves. I also can't change any speed or volume settings (click or click-dragging mouse cursor) or click "Back to Title" button (top left back arrow and "Reset Global Data" buttons work fine). You really need to test the UI better and make it more intuitive...

it is the default UI that comes with the system engine. be sure to transfer all the data, old saves have shown to work

There appears to freeze crash bug with the audio. I have music set to 0 volume and sound/voices set to half volume but when I load a save game all 3 are playing a full volume. When I go to settings the volumes are set as I had left them but it's still all playing at full volume. Any attempt to adjust the volume sliders causes the game to freeze crash with the below error.

I see, sorry to hear that. if you want to disable the volume and it doesn't work ingame, you can just right-click on the speaker icon on the Taskbar and select 'Open volume mixer' option. When the Volume mixer options open in the Settings app, check the volume levels under System and Apps sections to adjust them as needed. Windows 11 allows you to set different volume levels for each app

the futa corps ending is not in the game, yet. you will get a message when the story content ends

One big problem. I turn the music volume all the way down when I began, but it eventually comes back on at full blast. And I go back to the audio settings to turn it back down again, but it's already in the all-the-way-down position. I try to turn it back up and then back down again, but then an error message pops up and the game crashes, and I have to restart. I eventually just had to play with the master volume on my computer muted, which sucked, because then I couldn't hear the sound effects either. I like the sound effects, but I don't like the music. (Nothing against your music, I just don't like any video game music. It's always so distracting.) This is quite frustrating...
The game itself is genius. Probably the best I've ever played. Ten thousand out of ten. (Though I think "Shadows over Blackmore" is going to give it a run for its money!) But you should have used Renpy instead of... whatever it is you used, just like you did for Blackmore. I get the feeling I wouldn't be having this problem if the game was made in Renpy, because I've never had this kind of problem on the Renpy engine before.

in hindsight it is always easy to say what should have been done in terms of the engine. it took me quite a lot of time to figure out renpy at first. so maybe I would have given up on it starting out and Femdom City would have never become the big game that it is today
The previous version could be played with a browser. Could you bring that option to the new version as well please? I use that because I play on Linux.
that might be hard because i do not know what exactly changed. the engine that I use to create the game got an update, and i am not skilled enough to revert the changes
Sorry to hear. Unfortunately I'm not technical enough to help you there. If you ever want to change engine: Ren'Py supports Windows, Linux and presumably Apple. Anyway, thanks for your quick reply!

I am having issues with the latest build of MANTIS.. About every few minutes (I'd say within 5 minutes) .. An error window pops up on the screen with no text in it which forces the game to crash..

I have to say this game is the best you've done and probably the best I've played from the adult category.. it's a shame that you're ending it, because it's such a gem among adult games that it deserves to continue the story and I believe that many people agree with me..

all good things have to come to an end. Femdom City has almost 100 days of story content, more than 250 animated scenes. It has so many pictures that even on some high spec PCs it can slow down because of picture memory overload. You cannot just let the story go on forever...
